After monitoring this issue, we are happy to report that Facebook/Instagram has resolved this issue and video publishing has returned to normal.

If you have any failed posts in your queue, please can you create a new post within Buffer and re-upload the media from the failed posts and copy the captions into the new post.

We sincerely apologize for any disruption this has caused. Thank you for your patience while this issue was monitored and resolved.

Facebook has acknowledged the bug on their end, and their Engineering team is working to resolve this. We're hopeful we will see progress made by the Facebook team in getting this resolved soon. They have updated their own Status Page with the Incident which we are monitoring: https://status.fb.com/graph-api?ref=dfc

Meanwhile, this is impacting our ability to publish videos to Instagram via Direct Scheduling. We'd recommend using the Instagram Reminder flow in the meantime.

So very sorry for the disruption this is causing. We'll update this page as information becomes available.

Instagram is currently experiencing issues with processing video media files. You may see Instagram video posts fail to publish when using Direct Scheduling. We are investigating this issue and hope to get this resolved soon. In the meantime we would recommend using the Instagram Reminder flow to send your videos if you are seeing direct scheduled Instagram posts fail from your Buffer account.
