Details: MNO Safaricom has new requests regarding Sender ID registration towards Kenya. The required information for the registration of Alphanumeric Sender IDs are:
1. Client’s Company Name or Entity Name
2. Client’s copy of Certificate of Incorporation - (they added this requirement in order to have more visibility that the enterprise/brand is legitimate)
3. Company URL
4. Purpose/Nature of the Message
5. Sample Message
The registration should take between 3-6 days.
All unregistered senders will be blocked. Numeric sender IDs are not allowed. Local sender IDs are not allowed. Generic Sender IDs will be blocked. They still haven't announced the date of blocking.
