We are continuing to monitor the backlog of topics that need to be synced for view counts. This is progressing at a good pace as we have seen a total of over 10,000 topics since yesterday afternoon (23rd August) on top of the topics that were updated over the weekend. We will continue to check to ensure all topics have been synced but the majority should be complete by the end of this week. If you have any further concerns please contact support@insided.com

Monitoring
So far our investigation into this has found the following:
1. Only EU based communities were affected.
2. The service that stores the views kept storing the views as expected.
3. Every 15 min we are syncing the views to the service that need this information. When we do this, we actually “freeze” any other syncing until this is done. However on Monday we had an incident and the service got stuck at this frozen state.
The good news is all topic view statistics will return to their accurate value at some point next week. The less good news is that this will be a gradual process to re-sync the view counts to ensure we do not risk any downtime. The backlog for this will reduce over the weekend and will clear at some point next week. We will continue to monitor this process and provide a more accurate completion time when possible.

Investigating
We are aware of the issue of newly created topics displaying 0 views even when there has been activity on the topic. Our engineering team are currently investigating a fix for this.
