We have finished processing all impacted email addresses to their original subscription states. All email addresses that were reported by Google as a hard-bounce during the Google Mail outages earlier this week have been properly updated. This issue is now resolved.

We are continuing to monitor Google Mail and no additional outages have been reported today. Currently, Google Mail outages have stabilized and Braze has identified email addresses impacted by this Google-caused issue. We are now beginning the process of returning impacted email addresses to their original subscription states. Due to the large number of email addresses impacted, completion of this process may take some time. We will provide another status update once the processing is complete.

We have identified an issue with bounce reporting and handling as a result of the ongoing Google Mail outages ( https://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en-GB&v=status ) that are resulting in an unusually high number of email bounces to Google endpoints. We are currently working with relevant teams and providers to assess the impact and will update this incident as we make progress on this.
