Incident Report for The AskCody Platform
Postmortem

This outage was caused by a general Azure Front Door incident, which impacted multiple Azure customers, including AskCody.

The official Service Issue Summary from Microsoft with tracking ID 2NX3-NC0 has the following Preliminary Root Cause: “We determined a recent configuration change made for a subset of customers broke the default DNS resolution for Azure Front Door standard and premium SKU customers.” To mitigate, Microsoft rolled back the configuration change.

We expect a full Root Cause Analysis to be available from Microsoft within a week and will provide an update by then.
