What happened?
Between 16:15 UTC on July 21st and 9:09 UTC on July 22nd, our sampling algorithm wasn’t working as expected. This means that some customer sites that get sampled could have received more or less sessions than expected.

Why did this issue occur?
This happened due to an issue with our sampling algorithm monitoring during the time period mentioned, meaning that any significant fluctuations in traffic volume would not have adjusted the sampling algorithm.

What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?
Our team will review the alerts for these monitors to ensure that our team is made aware earlier in advance when issues like this arise.
