Overview

On 04/04/22 Currencycloud customers were seeing intermittent errors when trying to book conversions.

Timeline

00:00 UTC - Currencycloud observed connection errors with our FX Provider and began investigating, this included external investigations following a successful health check of the Currencycloud service.

04:00 UTC - FX Provider confirmed they were experiencing an issue with their FIX connection.

04:31 UTC - Service stabilised.

06:17 UTC - Service became unstable again with more errors being observed intermittently. FX provider confirmed the issue was still being worked on.

07:34 UTC - Issue resolved, service remained stable and full resolution confirmed by FX Provider.

 

Resolution

No action was taken by Currencycloud to resolve the issue, issue was resolved by our FX provider

 

Root Cause Analysis

The issue was related to a change that was made on 03/04, which caused the FIX session to periodically disconnect momentarily and then automatically reconnect.

The underlying issue has been identified and resolved.

Currently the service is stable but we are continuing to work with our 3rd party to understand the issue.

APAC conversions are not impacted
