Overview

On September 3, at 13:12 UTC an incident was declared for the uk-1 region. The incident was region-wide affecting all projects hosted in the uk-1 region.

What Happened

One of Platform.sh’s upstream cloud providers experienced an infrastructure issue which resulted in limited availability of project websites and the Platform.sh console UI.

Resolution

Internal Platform.sh monitoring alerted our on-call engineers who began an immediate investigation into the cause of the incident. After it was determined that the upstream provider had experienced difficulties at the time, we began an immediate recovery process that required a reboot of the affected hosts affected by the service interruption. We began to see an immediate improvement once this process concluded.

Impact

The incident lasted a total of 30 minutes.
