Minor Issue - Latency - LAXSL1
Incident Report for Cornerstone
Postmortem

On January 25th, 2022 Cornerstone engineers were alerted by internal monitoring tools for portal latency issues.

Clients hosted in the LAX SL1 may have experienced application latency while accessing portals.

Cornerstone engineers were engaged for investigation and troubleshooting pointed to the issues with one of the configuration settings.

This application setting was causing deadlock resulting in high latency for pages. This was resolved after tweaking the application configuration and recycling services across the web cluster.

To mitigate this situation from occurring in the future and to reduce the risk of a future impact Cornerstone is introducing additional corrective measures.

Internal optimizations have been discussed with the appropriate development teams to avoid the recurrence of this incident.
