A new version of the Piano Analytics JavaScript SDK (6.8.0) was pushed to our CDN on January 25, 2023 at 02:45 PM CET. This update was intended to be completely transparent, with no impact on visitors and no action required.
But despite our rigorous testing, this new version had a bug that could prevent the deposit of cookies related to the identification of visitors.
Actions performed:
As soon as this problem was identified, on January 26th at 11:45 AM CET, we rolled back to version 6.7.1.
Actions to come:
In order to avoid these situations in the future, we will version the libraries made available from the CDN to give you control over the version used.
We take this matter seriously and apologize for any trouble this may have caused.
Update: The new version (6.8.2) which fix the problem has been pushed on 31/01/2023.

Some customers may experience an issue with this version of the SDK, resulting in an abnormal quantity of collected events. Our technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue.
