At approximately 2020-10-30 23:30 UTC a misconfiguration in GCP Iowa caused machine replacements for some Atlas clusters with a node in a single availability zone of this region. This maintenance was incorrectly categorized as an emergency, and therefore did not respect maintenance windows. Affected Atlas Clusters experienced the restart of a single node in each replica set (or a single node in each shard of a sharded cluster).
