Our infrastructure and DevOps teams have monitored this case, and believe the issue to be resolved. We have not seen further occurrences of the performance issues.

Update
After an investigation with our infrastructure and DevOps teams we believe that we have successfully identified the cause of the issue and have now put in place a remediation mechanism. We will continue to monitor performance but functionality and metrics have now returned to normal.
