Postmortem

On July 30, around 8:03 PT, one of our customer database servers became unavailable for approximately eight minutes affecting approximately 0.1% of sites on the platform. The root cause was identified to be a failure of the underlying infrastructure that hosted these database servers. The issue was automatically remediated, minimizing the overall downtime. 

We continue to refine and improve our processes around these infrastructure failures to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
